Bioidentical Hormone Replacement using implantable pellets is the next evolution in hormone replacement therapy. Bioidentical hormone pellets offer a tailor made treatment based on a woman’s labs and symptoms. The process begins with a patient questionnaire and laboratory hormone levels. She returns for the procedure visit where tiny hormone pellets are inserted below the skin under local anesthesia. The pellets will slowly dissolve releasing hormone and the procedure is typically repeated every 4 months. The improvement in quality of life for many of our patients makes this a fun and rewarding service for our practice.
