Urinary Incontinence
Urinary Incontinence can be a debilitating condition, affecting the day-to-day life for many women. Treatments may include medication, surgery, physical therapy, or any combination. Some patients may benefit from urodynamics and cystometrogram, an in-office procedure to evaluate urinary incontinence. Such testing helps determine a treatment plan tailored to the patient.
Dr. Chisholm is the first in South Texas to implement the Remeex sling, which is the only adjustable incontinence sling available to women. This technology insures the patient has the precise tension below the urethra to prevent leakage. The sling can be readjusted throughout the patient’s lifetime if incontinence returns. In the past a patient may require multiple anti-incontinence procedures.
